- Application: Apply your deep conditioner or hot-oil treatment to your hair. Wear one of the disposable shower caps you will find in your heated cap. Put your deep conditioning gel cap in the microwave for 60-90 seconds, before wearing your heated cap and start your thermal hair care treatment for 20 to 30 mins. Once your time is up, remove your deep conditioning cap and rinse the treatment from your hair.
